Your thinking is partially correct but misstates many of the basic pillars. You need well educated employees to run a business. You need houses and roads. None of those exist without the people you needed and while your risk funded the people you hire them as a value proposition to your bottom line. You pay them what they are worth. Without the public sector you cannot afford to build the roads or the house or the school to get the people needed to create your product. Keeping them in poverty creates wealth for you at the expense of the ones making you the money.
