I am not sure they hate cities. That might overstate it. They are not in love with freer and more tolerant places as that is not their lifestyle. I live in a red county and the policies are backwards. It is suburban and the nicest place is the blue enclave within the county. I am not sure they hate it. They don’t agree with that way of life more tolerant blue areas have. We have to start admitting that it is ok
