Great article. My one comment would be to not trivialize or downplay their intelligence. These tribes were planners and agriculturally smart and built societies that we are just beginning to comprehend. Add to that we severely underestimated their numbers to feel better about ourselves from the extinction caused by European explorers. They were sophisticated and intelligent builders.
